Группа "Нюанс" - это перформанс и еще что-то...
С юмором дело обстоит так же, как и с музыкой. Чем больше ее слушаешь, тем более тонких созвучий желаешь. При таком подходе с неизбежностью начинаешь ценить в юморе (да и в самой жизни тоже) что-то неуловимое, ускользающее, поэтическое. И даже философское. Почти все шутки, анекдоты и карикатуры, которые предлагают нам так называемые профессионалы юмора с экранов телевизоров и со страниц газет рассчитаны на сиюминутное употребление. Посмотрел, хмыкнул, хихикнул... и забыл навсегда.
Конечно, для лирико-философской карикатуры сейчас не самые лучшие времена. И художники из группы "Нюанс" (Виктор Богорад, Леонид Мельник и Вячеслав Шилов) это прекрасно понимают. Они и сами работают в ведущих питерских газетах.
Но есть иная шкала отчета. Есть другие ценности бытия. Тонкий юмор, кстати, тоже принадлежит к их числу. Намек, фантазия, игра ума и воображения, интуиция - вот те "стихии", с которыми и в которых работают карикатуристы из "Нюанса".

"Nuance" is performance and something more...
Humor can be seen in the same sense as music. The more you listen to it, the more subtle the melody you desire. Giving such an approach it is inevitable that one begins appreciating something elusive, poetic and even philosophic in humor (and in life itself). Almost all jokes, anecdotes and caricatures presented to us on TV screens and in print by so called professionals in the field of humor are for immediate use. One sees, comprehends, giggles and then forgets forever.
Of course, the present time is not a high point in the history of lyrical-philosophic caricature. Artists from the "Nuance" group (Victor Bogorad, Leonid Melnik and Vyacheslav Sнilov) understand this perfectly well. They themselves are working in the leading St.-Petersburg newspapers.
But they know that there exists another reference point, a different scale of life's values. Subtle humor, it could be said, belongs to these values. Hint, fantasy, figment of imagination, battle of wits and intuition are those elements with which and in which caricaturists from "Nuance" work.
